Noah Centineo To Join Dwayne Johnson In DC’s ‘Black Adam’ As Atom Smasher

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star Noah Centineo has joined the cast of DC’s Black Adam. The titular character is played by Dwayne Johnson. Centineo is all set to play Atom Smasher.

Noah Centineo is officially going the comic book movie way with Black Adam. As per reports on Deadline, the actor will play the first live-action movie version of Atom Smasher. Atom Smasher’s abilities include growth, super strength and manipulation of molecular structure. The character is introduced as Albert Rothstein in the comics, the godson of Al Pratt who was the original Atom. He has a complex history with Black Adam and the two start out as rivals before eventually forging a friendship. Atom Smasher has appeared before in the second season of The CW’s The Flash played by Adam Copeland.

Noah Centenio who became the internet’s boyfriend after his stint in Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, is fresh off the success of To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (the internet had a lot of feelings about the follow-up film) and will be seen in To All the Boys 3 next. He will also be seen in a World War II movie The Diary.

Dwayne Johanson’s Black Adam is a rival of Shazam! played by Zachary Levi in the DCEU. Johnson is re-teaming with Jungle Cruise director Jaume Collet-Serra for the film. However, production for Black Adam has a bunch of hurdles added to the problem of shooting amidst the pandemic. Dwayne Johnson is tied up with Red Notice, a Netflix project alongside Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds which was also halted due to the pandemic. Johnson is on quite the role and is also in talks for another superhero film Ball and Chain with Jungle Cruise co-star Emily Blunt.
