‘Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time’ Trailer: Jack Is Back For a Sick New Adult Swim Game, Wa-watch Out!
Samurai Jack gotta get back, back to the past… again. Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time a new game is the beloved character’s next adventure. The Adult Swim game will be available to play on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game’s trailer announces the release date set for August 21, 2020.
“You will not stop me Aku!” goes Samurai Jack as he wields his blade at several opponents. Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is here to put game players in Jack’s shoes as he goes up against his long-standing rival Aku. Aku has been the villain in Jack’s story and in the game he seems to be the ultimate boss. The trailer teases Jack fighting tonnes of opponents with a bunch of different weapons. This time he has swords, guns even an axe in his weapon set. So expect to equip the in-game character with lots of new weapons. You can pick from a variety of Jack avatars too. The game will also have Jack’s allies including The Scotsman and Sir Rothchild. Apart from the gameplay, the clip also gives us a feel of the music which does have the classic Samurai Jack soundtrack along with a chill-hop score. And must say, it looks extremely hypable so far with just the right amount of Cartoon Network nostalgia and an exciting new chapter.
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time does make design changes with a new 3D design but the game borrows heavily from the animated series we know and love. Phil LaMarr is making a comeback to voice Jack and Greg Baldwin who voices Aku in the last season that aired in 2017 is back as well. Moreover, the game’s story arc is written by the original series’ writer Darrick Bachman. So the game does enough and more to pay homage to the source.
